Participation in the 3DBodyTech2022 International Conference and Project Progress Presentation

Members of the project’s research team from the Technical University of Crete participated as authors and speakers at the 13th International Conference and Exhibition on 3D Body Scanning and Processing Technologies, presenting a paper titled “Evaluation of 3D Body Scans from Mobile App via Virtual & Physical Try-On Garments”. Additionally, one member chaired Technical Session 2: 3D/4D Body Scanning Systems & Uses I and presented Technical Session 12: 3D/4D Body Scanning for Apparel III.

The conference proceedings were published in a volume, and all speeches were recorded and accessible to attendees for one month. The contribution aimed to connect with other academic institutions and scientists in the field of body and clothing scanning to achieve greater dissemination of the project’s results to major organizations involved in body imaging, proper clothing fit, motion scanning, innovation, creation, and clothing. The conference had about 180 attendees.
